More snow in Colorado!
Well not yet, but I've heard from people at NOAA that this winter is supposed to be really big. Last time I heard this from NOAA people was August of '02, and '02-'03 turned out to be the best winter since '95. I'm buying Spatulas in about 30 seconds...

Isn't it like 1" of rain is 1' of snow.I wish I was a weather dude, what other profession can you be wrong the majority of the time & not get fired!
Except in Utah,I gotta say they have a different handle on snow forcasting there.I also love the way Alta & other areas there measure snow as of 4pm,not 24 hours. They also update frequently. There've been many times where I wake up & they report 2",call & hour later & they report 6".Actually get on the hill & it's knee deep!Calmer than you dude

On the 1-10 ratio some places would've had over 40 inches. I can't even begin to count how many big storms have come through this summer.

From here on out I'm just going to say fuck it and ski what nature gives me, grin and have the hap hap happiest time since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny fuckin Kay ! ! !

It's gonna snow this winter. Sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes not at all. There will be times when it doesn't snow for 10-14 days, and times when it snows for a week straight. If we get storms in the form of snow like the one we had yesterday, it's gonna be a fun winter. 24" in a couple of hours isn't too bad.

How the hell am I supposed to tell you how much snow you're gonna get in 3 months? Exactly. I cant because that snowflake that's gonna fall in 3 months is probably in the form of a water drop in the eastern Atlantic right now trying to get itself evaporated so it can dump on Abasin for us to ski on in a few months.

and no, you dont wish you were a weather dude cause it pays shit.
but tomorrow is my last day at this job!!

And I like what iskibc and board say. Whatever the weather brings, it'll be fine. There are always untracked turns to be had...Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

Sorry man, didn't mean to pour lemon juice into your paper cut!I wasn't talking about extended forecasts, just the short term ones that never seem to pan out.Hey,having some information is usually better than having none! Also I did mention that Utah's forecasters were on it . The SLC topography seems to make their jobs a lot easier.Speaking of which, you should try & get a job there, everybody loves the weather dudes there. If the Man is wearing the white blazer it's coming down!

Weak El Nino for winter of 04-05. Maybe a few more flakes will fall on Co this year. If not, UT will get tons and it will spill over.
