Not sure, but it felt like early October walking to work in Denver this morning. I wouldn't be surprised if it did snow at the higher elevations.

I think it rained about 27 feet of water in 37 seconds in downtown Denver. Not really, but I think it dropped 4.5 inches of rain in just a couple of hours. I saw several cars stuck in huge ponds in the roads. My bosses basement flooded. I had some serious fun driving around through the stuff. Where the hell was all this water last winter?

It's Colorado. It will happily dump in July and August and be 80 degrees in March.
It rained a lot the past day... flash flood warnings throughout the state.
I saw some fresh white stuff on top of Torreys Peak yesterday morning, but since then all the peaks have been in the clouds nonstop. It could have been hail/sleet too.

I havent seen it this green in Denver in August since I moved here in 97. 2-4 inches of rain across the area yesterday. It was sweet. I saw a dood swimming across I-25 and Alameda!

I'm sorry, but for the life of me, why does anyone get stoked about snow in August, or even September and October? It's going to melt!
Unless you're going to SA, I really don't get it. That's like going to a strip bar and getting a boner when a girl peels off her boobie tassel for 2 seconds then puts it back on.Balls Deep in the 'Ho

08-19-2004, 09:39 AM #16It's a sign. It's a thing of hope and beauty. Snow capped peaks are a reminder. Actually, we sometimes hope it melts because if it sits around three months it can become an unstable layer. A skier should be psyched anytime it snows... including July and August. It's a mental thing.Originally posted by 13

It was knee deep where I was this morning in the field behind my house. Like MD9 said, it must have rained 38 inches in 10 minutes yesterday. Saw a couple of teenagers try to spin doughnuts through a mud patch and wound up sinking up to the doors.

This rain is great, but it makes traffic into a fucking nightmare.

Maybe with all this rain, you dirty Denverites won't suck our lake dry.
*Maybe* the precip levels will maintain through the winter in frozen form... wouldn't that just be stokerific!

After all the drought years & state wide fires we Colorado folks have endured,I'm just stoked for any kind of moisture ,any time of year. This state can be frustratingly ,precipitationally challenged!
I love skiing Utah & spend at least 2 weeks a season skiing there;I haven't been everywhere, but I've yet to find another place that has the quality of terrain & snow as Little Cottonwood does, but my value system clashes with the Mormons.I just don't know if I could live there year round, but It's my fantasy to own a ski home there, the real estate is insanely cheap compared to Colorado.Calmer than you dude

1. Colorado sucks ass. It never snows in Colorado.
2. Utah Rules and Mormons are HOT.
3. Don't go to Idaho. That's my ho.

Damn dog! Why you gots to be dissin' the Coloraggots and our snow (or lack of)?
I hear ya though. I spent winter of 98-99 in Salt Lake and LCC is amazing. But I haven't drank that infrequently for a 8-month stretch since I was in high school. Maybe that was a good thing. Lived down the block from some Momo with 5 wives. I'd see them hanging in the backyard with their amish looking dresses on tending to their 8 collective kids. I envied them
I'd take Denver over SLC anyday.
But the 18 mile drive up to Alta beats the shiz outta I-70 nightmare."Oh yeah...and she gave me her number too!"
