Weddings are fun!
I just attended my first jewish wedding, for a good friend from college. It was a kick in the pants. The reception started off with 2 open bars and hors de ourves in the seattle sheraton hotel ballroom lobby, then it moved inside the ballroom for at least an hour of wild dancing, singing, and cheering. People were going nuts. then a kick ass salmon dinner, plenty of wine and beer, catching up with old friends, rehashing memories of the vegas bachelor party, and oh yeah more dancing and singing. Definately one of the best weddings i have been too.
I am going to a hippy wedding in leavenworth labor day weekend, costumes/creative attire are encouraged, and the bride apparently is dressing up like a butterfly. It sounds like it could be epic, i'll give a report if needed.smoke crack and worship satan

I just got back from doing 2 weddings in 6 days back east. All the travel was not fun. One wedding in a Days Inn, soso fun. The next wedding, which was a hippy wedding, but no costumes, was a blast. When you have to go to a wedding every other month, they stop being so fun.

If by "epic" you mean "painfully lame," I agree.Originally posted by White Chocolate

no acid needed...dressing up like a giant toad and flicking your tongue the entire time at any bug-costumed attendees (bride included) would likely yield some interesting results.

The amount of money I spend each year on other peoples' weddings is staggering. Finally have one in town this weekend, nice not to have to travel.
I'm not going to your wedding, am I Dr. Gaper?

If you like weddings so much, is it safe to assume that you go into a pleasure induced coma when skiing?

BWAAAHHHHAAAAHAHA
Attended a punk wedding last year that probably went to the same extent though. Bridesmaids wore blood red dresses with black fishnet stockings and 5 inch heals. Around the alter were dead roses hanging upside down from wooden pyramids all in the middle of the forest in Santa Cruz. I'd never seen more tattoos in one place in my life as well.
