    Taken vs. Gran Torino

I'm going to see one of these films in the next 15 minutes - which one should I see?

Went with Taken. A non-stop thrillfest. Completely unbelieveable, but a non-stop thrillfest nonetheless.

You chose correctly. While Taken was is brainless, action movie, Gran Torino was just rubbish from start to finish.

I've been thinking of seeing Taken this weekend. Looks like a good idea from what you're saying.

I enjoyed Taken. Good thrillfest, didn't care for the last 5 minutes, could have had a more creative ending. The movie just ended and not in the way I expected. Who kills a bunch of people in a foreign country and does not followed home to have someone kick his ass?

x2. I was totally expecting Neeson to get shot down in the street in the final minutes.

I'm not sure he left anyone alive to come after him.

Saw Taken. Liked it. Expected a little more quality from Neeson tho.

I think the thing I liked about the Neeson charactor was how he never lost it or let his emotions get in the way. It was all about getting his daughter back. I also like when he told the guy, "I told you I'd find you." Like he was dissapointed it was so easy.

i am action movie junkie and loved Taken, watched it last night and though it was awesome. The guy was purely driven by his emotions and his actions showed it. I like how in the first part of the revenge war path he was knocking fools out, then maming, then visciously killing. even my wife liked it.

Taken: Bourne Supremacy/Identity style fun and action

Gran: not as easy to describe but very well done; you can see this happening. Eastwood is a superb character.

Just downloaded and saw Taken, based on this thread. Pretty good flick, shallow as can be, and Neeson is still a very good actor.

I saw Taken a few days ago and Gran Torino tonight. Taken was definitely entertaining, albeit pretty ridiculous at some points. I thought Gran Torino was really good as well. Both are worth seeing.

Saw Gran Torino today, excellent flick. Clint Eastwood as a grumpy old racist was awesome! I think I´ll have to buy the dvd for my parents.

Loved the bit in Taken where he shot some dude through that porthole window in the door.
