Diff with Dalbello Gold ID & intuition power wrap?
I bought the 2009 Dalbello krypton pro with the regular liner this year. Since i bought it the fit has never been very good. Im wanting to buy myself an intuition liner. Its hard to find the Gold ID liner built specifically for Dalbello. I live in Vancouver so its very easy for me to go to the downtown factory to get a pair of the power wraps. My question is do you think the intuition power wrap will fit fine in my boot or should I try and get the Gold ID liner. What is special about the Gold ID liner. Anyone have any experience with this? I have pretty skinny legs ankle and heals with a low volume but medium width forefoot and I want something that will really fit my foot well. The regular liner has just to much negative space.
Thanks for any input
Steve

You are in exact position I was in 1.5yrs back. Purchased 07 Krypton Pro's with regular liner. Picked up the Intuition Power-Wraps and couldn't be happier. A "perfect" fit. Go to someone that knows how to work with the power-wraps. The extra workable volume from power-wrap compared to toe section on Gold ID was a welcomed bonus. Have Intuition recommend liner size and perhaps get the mold done with them downtown? You may have to unbuckle the toe and mid-section buckles after every few runs for the first 3-5 days until they pack in a hair (they barely pack in = very nice). You'll save yourself $60-100 going this route vs Gold ID. No benefit to go with Gold ID from what I remember researching. Good luck.

I have had the Power wrap in my old boots and the gold ID in my Kryptons now. If I had a choice now, I would get the powerwraps. I think they are a little more durable and seem less prone to packing out as the foam is a little firmer and more dense.

thanks guys that helps. Anything that would fill up the volume alittle more especially around the heal and achilles area is welcome. Also in my right foot I have extreme pain over my big toe tendon which runs straight up the center of my ankle. Im wondering if this is due to the heal retention strap causing uneven pressure. Anyone else have this issue? Im hoping that the power wrap liner will give me more padding and a more "perfect fit" over my ankle area

What the others said. I've skied about 60-70ish days in my kryptons w/ID liner and the foam is shot. I'm pretty hard on my gear (actually just found a crack in the shell today!) but I'd say go with the normal powerwrap liner. Not quite as comfortable but I think they perform as good/better and don't get nearly so sloppy so quick.
