    Resetting the code on a Ford F150?

    So, I just bought an 04' F150. Dealer didn't know the keypad code, told me I had to take it to a Ford dealer to re-set it. Is this indeed true?
    Anybody know anything about this?

    The original code is needed and it's stored in the truck's computer. You need the dealer to pull that and then you can re-program it.

    Yeah, really nice. Lariat, leather, 4 door, camper-shell, spray in bed-liner, aftermarket audio, etc. Pissed me off that Corky didn't tell me he didn't know the key code until AFTER I cut the check. Kinda lame.

    Very true, had to do that with a key = $60. Most expensive key I ever had.
