    Dalbello Krypton Shims?

I picked up a pair of Kryptons with all the various shims and such and want to stiffen them a bit. Anyone have the instructions for using the shims etc...I have the stiff tongues but want a bit more stifness.

    Thanks,

Use the cuff stiffener and the largest fwd lean shim. That'll make 'em pretty burly. Use the stiff footbed too.

Just slide the cuff stiffener to the stiffest position, and loosen the cuff to get the largest forward lean shim in. I don't know what liner you have, but if you have the stock one, ditch it and go with the Intuition made for these. I use the Silver personally. The Gold was a bit more than I needed. I bought these boots as an all-mt boot though, as I was sick of race boots, so I have them set up a bit softer - more like the Kryp Cross.

Keep in mind that the Kryp is known more for lateral stiffness than for fore/aft stiffness. They aren't like your usual boot.
    Gravity. It's the law.

I guess my problem is I have no reference point. I have all the parts and no idea where and how they fit together-never had a pair of Kryptons before. I've already placed the shim between the rear upper and lower shell for more forward lean but that isn't helping me stiffen the boot. I have custom footbeds and Intuition liners along with a Booster strap.

there are two slots inside the boot, on the backside of the cuff. You will want to slide the cuff stiffener into the top slot for a stiffer flex.

You should see numbers on the shims and the stiffeners, these will need to correspond together. If you use the # 4 shim, use the #4 stiffener as well.

You will need to take out the liner to see the slots for the stiffener, the stiffener will slide between the two plastic side pannels and the back of the boot, it should make sense if you are looking at it. Just play around with it until you feel them slide into place.

Got it - Thanks. Now I need to go give them a whirl.
