Saturday night was the better night but it was cloudy here in northern New England. However last night I was able to catch the tail end of the display. Light pollution makes the area along the horizon artificially bright.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Love the Aurora shots! I totally missed that we were supposed to see one Sat night until I woke up to amazing pictures all over social media.

A few from the Carbon River Sunday, the first one requires a rappel in, and the second one is accessed only by kayak. Pretty amazing place.

^Wow...way to get after it! I am just looking at the pic on my phone as well but my eye wants more mountain and less of the featureless sky above the interesting clouds.

Not the greatest weather for an air show last Saturday, but at least the planes flew.

A rainbow viewed from Tahoe's east shore

My wife very pregnant with our second

Parker Lake in the Eastern Sierra

The first two days of the holiday weekend have been cloudy and cool in Seattle, but the sun is finally out today! Got in a nice long course swimming workout to get the day started.

I thought thats where it was, I was there for a few days last month. Have some great footage of my son paddling that stretch of river, he was killed in a kayaking accident last year (May).
