Impressive stuff. Looking south from McClure Pass this morning. Bit of haze from the fires.

Canon Photostitch and Hugin were both crashing on my 2010 MBP, but here's a pano from Saturday that Google Photo(!) auto-stitched for me when I uploaded a series of photos there. I knew it would do it, but it's lower-res than I'd like. Did several pans. This is the first. Haven't even looked at which is better because I was preoccupied with troubleshooting the stitch program(s).

Try Microsoft ICE. Less customizable than Hugin but will stitch stuff that Hugin just can't seem to and produces nice results.

    Nice pano!

Here's one that ICE did for me recently while Hugin kept producing crazy results and giving messages telling me the match between the frames wasn't good enough.

Of course Hugin would've been able to fix the leaning trees at the edges which is why I keep using it when it will actually work.

I just got back from a trip to Yosemite and Mono Lake and picked up a few new tricks on the trip. 25 second exposures except number 3, 4 minutes.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
