This is a 3 image stitch with some horrible distortion issues that I think I cleaned up OK in Photoshop. I'd love any comments/advice on the processing though. I'm not really happy with it.

Here's one from a couple weeks ago at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. I thought it'd kinda fit in here, since it's not too different from the "sport within landscape" pictures that are so popular in action sports photography. Processing is with Nik Color Efex Pro 4, I thought the cool tone fit the vintage theme of the event well without being cliche or tacky.

    Jay Peak trail running festival.

My wife yelling at me after a hard section of the course. "Why are you lying on the ground!?"

I wish this pic worked out better.

    Its not that far.

Pull back the saturation and see if you can do any recovery of the blown highlights in the clouds.

    mtcham killing it in Yellowstone.

Overturn - brilliant waterfall pics! I'll echo Lonnie's comments. The blown highlights ruin it for me.

FreakofSnow - what's up with the bat? You open the door and find him there?

Willie, nice images and great atmosphere for super clear long-distance captures ...

I don't like the style of the crushed blacks though and would like some more shadow detail in the sunset/twilight mountain images. Blacks also seem very crushed in 1.

Schralph - thanks for the feedback! I may have been going too much for clarity and pushing the contrast too much. I know I added a lot of contrast in #1 because I wanted the mts. in the background to be as clear as possible - the haze shows up more during the day. I'll see what I can do about bringing the blacks up a bit but it'll be a few days before I'll have time to play around with them again.

Hey Tuckerman, how far is that run? Looked like a nice day to be out in it. I don't know if I am willing it but it looks like some leaves are turning...

Yes some leaves are turning and as soon as the sun went down it got cold. The run/s on Saturday their was 3 5ks a black diamond, blue square and green circle. I ran all three and my 13yo ran the last one the green circle with me or I guess I ran with her. Sunday was 25k and a 50k the 50k was 2 loops of the 25k. My wife ran the 25k. Next year if my kid is cool with it I'm going to run the 3 5ks then the 50k on the next day.
