From last month in the OBX, before the hurricane. This was the view from the front porch:

^You might want to resize that for us with normal-sized monitors.

Also, the most dominant part of the image (for me, at least) is out of focus. I find the mountains to be of more interest than the edge of the water.

I'm with you I like the water edge in focus and everything else out. I think I like the fact that my eyes want the mountains in focus and it kind of pisses me off.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I've compared this image to several others that I took, including ones with the mountains in focus, also with some with everything in focus..this one just works for me, I find this one the most interesting...Different strokes for different folks, right?

psh, you can't tell sharpness until you throw in a 100% crop. only THEN will you know if you got a good copy.

A few shots driving home last night after hunting. (Nikon 24-70 f2.8) Maybe some good potential with the right conditions.

Looking for a Nikon 300mm f4 AF-S if anyone has one for sale or runs across one.

Fuzz-don't hesitate to put that last one in the MPC-absolutely incredible!!!

Usually I shoot red tail hawks on the way to work but this morning I saw this furball up in some cottonwoods surrounded by grain fields. Good test for the new 70-200mm and TC-20E.

You guys are all crushing it lately. Someday when I grow up, I want to be a photographer...
