Diane Taylor: What would you know about scenery? Or beauty? Or any of the things that really make life worth living? You're just an animal: coarse, lustful, barbaric.
Max Cady: Keep right on talkin', honey. I like it when you run me down like that.
Diane Taylor: Max Cady, what I like about you is... you're rock bottom. I wouldn't expect you to understand this, but it's a great comfort for a girl to know she could not possibly sink any lower.

Road here is fucking nuts, it's the main winter pass from chile to argentina so it's loaded with semi trucks barely making it around corners and crazy people passing into oncoming traffic. Every time I ride the juncalilo lift I expect to see so many accidents. It'd be pretty harrowing on a bike

I'm still not really sure what I'm doing in regards to shutter speed, WB etc...
Took me like 10 minutes to figure out how to change this shit

Not a great composition by any stretch, and had the wrong lens for the job, but was a great night so sharing the pic
Be careful about buying snowboard goggles for skiing. Snowboard goggles come in right eye and left eye (for goofy-footers) dominant models. This can make it hard to see correctly when skiing because you are facing straight down the hill, not sideways.

Thanks. I added a link to the exif data. I'm definitely not one that's qualified to give tips, but I'll try:
-Keep the shutter speed fast (the moon is moving faster than it looks). My shot was 1/125sec at f/6.3, ISO 100
-Shot in manual mode. Ignore the camer's meter as it will tell you that the scene is underexposed, but you don't care about the sky, just the moon. That shot was taken at 6:30pm last weekend and the sky was still pretty blue/bright, but exposing for the moon it shows up much darker.
-Longer reach helps for sure. Now way around this really, just need a long lens. I used a the nikon 70-300mm G VR lens at 280mm and cropped about 50% of the image.
-I used a tripod, but I've seen some good shots handheld if you're steady.
Good luck

Point and shoot lightning. I used the bendy little tripod thing that came with it.

From Alpental BC last winter, hiking up peak 5456'
Me in the distance, my buddy Sam up close. Not super great picture quality but I think it tells a story and every time I look at it I remember that hike very vividly. Woke up this morning at 6 and went out on my deck with some tea. The air taste cold. Time to start training

I've got a ton from my honeymoon, but I think I'll start with this one.
