I left the bike at home today to go hiking. It was pretty cloudy, so we couldn't see the mountains, but the destination was pretty nice.

Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Was down in Portland for a swim meet this weekend and had some time to venture out to the Columbia River Gorge.

And one more from Iceland, a shot that I just went back through to process again. Taken from Stykkisholmur towards the Westfjords.

Went camping last night, so of course it rained. Was hoping for a really iconic view of Mt. Hood, but the weather didn't cooperate. We did get some cool low clouds, though.

One of my favorites from last month's Iceland trip. I've got this printed as a 48" canvas above the master bed:

That's awesome. You should share it with the people at Double Mountain.

Thanks man! That is Matt Cooke from Boulder. I sent him the pic this afternoon and he loves it. Conditions we sooo brutal for the riders but kind of a dream session for this hack photog. I have loads more pictures from that day and up on Monarch but no time to go through them at the moment.

This isn't eligible for the 'Trail' MPC by a couple days.

Have seen lots of animals perched on telephone poles but this one was unusual.

I was in Chicago this weekend for the Big Shoulder 5K swim in Lake Michigan.

It might look nice in the photo, but holy shit was the water cold. That and the overall rough conditions made it a very difficult swim this year.

    5k swim? I have a hard time with a 1000'.
