Tuck, he has all that info in the astro photography thread that I think Particle created 2 years ago. I can't find it right now, but all the techie info about the tracking mounts, software and image stacking is all there.

Nothing special. I shot a foot race this weekend with my new 70-200 f/4. I'm sure all those pictures will bore you as will this one I grabbed while waiting for the pack to come around but whatever. I think I'm going to like this lens.

and this little guy got a sweet ride on a nice day.

Spent part of the day at the Museum of Flight with my dad yesterday. Really tough shooting conditions...

The place where I live is about more than nursing school gun massacres, federal pot raids, and street violence.

The place where I live has soul.

The place where I live has character.

The place where I live is beautiful.

Aussies are the best dog. Sometimes they border on neurotic with their insane energy levels, but you get used to it, right?. Our oldest is 11 years and hasn't slowed at all.

Nice Pooh mini set. I picture that like walking up to your house? If so, fucking sweet. My kids would go bezerk!

This page is off the hook, culminating in fuzz's mind-blowing star shot.

Resumed prime focus astrophotography last night (prime focus = where camera body attaches directly to telescope without a lens -- the telescope is effectively a massive lens).

I'd forgotten how many things (and cables!) there were to sort out to get good exposures. To complicate matters, it was quite cold last night and my fingers were freezing, so I was trying to hurry up (also trying to beat moonrise). In my haste, I forgot to use the Bahtinov mask to focus; as a result, the image came out a bit soft.
