i couldn't wait for "powder wednesday." i made a lap up lolo pass before work today. at least a foot of fresh. 20s, no wind, and clearing skies.

It being the first closed Monday at Snowbowl, I loosely planned to go out to Disco, but given that there was a likelyhood of rain, this morning I decided that I needed more sleep instead (working 'til midnight makes sleeping late desireable).
Fuck me. Disco got 12". I'll be doing my laundry.

Not bad at all up there today. Rode a couple chairs w/ Rootskier, but had to leave early. Snowforecast says that tomorrow should be pretty good too (...antijinx)

I'd better get some sleep, it's been a long day with much awesomeness before a full shift at work.

Please send some positive vibes for Chris of the Snowbowl ski shop, he biffed it into a tree and hurt his back bad enough to end his season. He's seriously good people.
That said, it was the shit today, the sun did some damage, and failed to do some damage.

I was totally fondling my kayaking gear on Sunday when it was like 50 and raining in town. I sort of felt dirty but excited at the same time.
Glad I still had the winter wax on the skis for the last two days, though. Not bad for late March. Good seeing y'all again.

He came back to the mountain from the hospital last night. A few of us scooted and carried him in a wheelchair most of the way up to his apartment, but he stood up and walked through Pat's and into his place. Apparently the ribs broke really close to where they connect to the spine.
At least he can walk a little. He was in pretty good spirits considering.

^^ Sounds like he'll be making a pretty full recovery then? Good news.
Was anyone up today? Stuart Peak Snotel says at least 1/2" of SWE already and it's raining pretty solid in town. Might be decent again tomorrow.

It was very good today, there was three to five inches of new, and it was snowing progressively more heavily during the couple hours I skied before work (I was late due to a hangover).
Tomorrow will be another great day at The Bowl.
