Noooooo....
so on thursday night's I play on this indoor soccer team...
haven't played the last few weeks 'cause of my shoulder....
head down there tonight to watch 'em play.....
they're short of players and its an important game, so I volunteer to sub in if any one is tired and figured I'll just run around mid-field and distribute the ball...not do anything stupid along the boards because of my shoulder......
so I'm the game 2 minutes, I get isolated with the ball at midfield with one defender to beat before the goal....
I make a step-over move with right foot, then my shoe/cleats get stuck in the turf, and all my weight is moving to the side as my foot is planted and I twist over it hearing a faint 'pop'.....It felt just as if my foot wouldn't release from a binding as I twisted forward around it.......
got carried off the field.....
stupid stupid stupid
this is not my fucking summer.

Re: Noooooo....
SO sorry Ty! Ugh - that sucks.
Relish the good drugs, I suppose (small consolation, I know).

Are you fukin kidding me?
Bummer dood!!

I am in SD CA, and my bro asked meto play for his team tonite.
Well thats the only similarity in our stories. After minor rug burn, I walked away to a cooler of silver bullets that I brought to drink while I was watching his ass get kicecked.
Instead I got my ass kicked and schooled by couple of "girlymen" disguised as women.
needless to say I found my cooler.
I hope you are OK dude

Throw some magic dirt on it you pussy!

Seriously, I hope the verdict is good and it's just a sprain or something similar that will heal in a couple of days. Keep us posted and for god sakes, DON'T LEAVE THE HOUSE!"I knew in an instant that the three dollars I had spent on wine would not go to waste."

Fuck Mang, hope it turns out well. I've heard four pops in my knees and been carried of the football field and it only turned out to be a 2cd degree sprain. So don't get hopes down completely yet. Positive vibes.

Soccer is a dangerous sport... In high school I had a collision with another player, the result was a ruptured spleen, an ambulance ride while going into shock, and a whole summer of being able to do nothing.
Hope you get fixed soon, good luck

Let's see here:
1) 30-45 degree cut
2) Knee under heavy load
3) Surface has no horizontal "give" in it
4) "Faint pop"
Oh man, that's not good
Hoping for the best fo' ya Ty. Please update diagnosis and perscribed meds ASAP.

So sorry to hear this. Here's hoping for the best for you.
Sick and ashamed and happy (and this morning, the best news (Bro Models) and worst news (this) were both right there at the top of the heap),

TC buddeh....TC. I hope you get better soon. I'm comin out your way and I'll love to be shown around Kwood in the upcoming season.
quick side note: my buddy plays indoor soccer in the Boston Ski and Sports club leauge and christ are they super competetive!!! I mean I understand nobody plays to lose...well...maybe some boxers or whatever....everyone wants to win. but man, these people throw flagrant fouls, trip, hip check into the boards...all kinds of bad stuff. I mean they aren't playing for money so what the hell?!?! One game I watched, this huge girl on the other team elbowed buddy in the face and then shoved him into the boards. I mean what do you do in that situation? It's a girl so you don't want to check her into the boards or sucker punch her on the next play or anything....but man, talk about super competitive. My other buddy on the team almost got into a fight with some dude over a bad call by the ref. You guys find that these leagues are all this competetive?thats new hampshire as fuck

Ty- pop came from knee or ankle? Either way, feel better soon. I have a feeling you'll be logging some miles on that new bike of yours...
It's idomatic, beatch.

Damn, Ty, that blows. Heal up - we've got some skiing to do soon!

That sucks. Seems like you've be on a bad streak for getting broken.
I quite playing indoor for this exact reason. People were going down every other game. The combination of generally shitty carpet and hacky players eats up knees and ankles.

Damn Ty, that's terrible. Heal quickly man.
And I'm with Arty, can't we throw you in a cryogenic chamber until ski season to keep you safe from yourself? When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back. GET MAD! I DON'T WANT YOUR DAMN LEMONS! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THESE?! DEMAND TO SEE LIFE'S MANAGER! Make life RUE the day it thought it could give YOU LEMONS! DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I'M THE MAN WHO'S GONNA BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN! WITH THE LEMONS! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that's gonna BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!

Uh oh. My wife broke her foot a few months ago and it was sort of like you described. Hopefully you didn't break it, but it sounds eerily familiar. Good luck!
Actually, rereading it sounds like it could be your knee. Not totally clear where the pop was. Whatever the case, get well soon.

Just wondering, same knee you tweaked coming out of Heart a year ago?
Good luck, let's hope a little rest gets it together.
Did the game end in a nil-nil tie? (Can't help thinking of that phrase whenever soccer comes up, sorry.)[quote][//quote]

Sometimes the pop isn't as bad as it sounds. My knee has made a pop a few times playing basketball, but its never been more than a few weeks rest. We're all sending good vibes your way.
