yeah, after an initial adjustment period of about a month, just fine.

He lived for a summer at an ex-gfs, who had a cat as well. The first couple weeks, the two cats chased each other around and hissed at each other a lot. It didn't look good. After three weeks, they settled quietly into corners, unless paths crossed to close. A month and half in, and they could be on the couch together, at opposite ends. By the end of the summer, they were inseperable. If you did something to one of them, the other would rush over to make sure everything was okay. They'd sleep on each other, wrastle, and so on. It was cool. Sucked to have to split them up after that though. They each wandered around their respective new places meowing forlornly, looking for the other.

So yeah, he gets along, although there's no doubt it takes some time.
