Problems w/ Garmin Etrex Vista C & Roadtrip Software
I am having trouble receiving data from my Garmin. I can send files to the Garmin but I can't receive my way points or tracks or other information for the device. I have tried to sync it with my older PC and a older version of Mapsource and the same thing happens.
I load up the software and go to receive files from device. The GPS is showing up at this point. As soon as I hit the receive files button (or OK, whatever the go button is) my GPS quickly flashes "transfer complete" and then immediately turns off and then an error message pops up on my computer screen reading:
There was an error communicating with your device.
Please make sure your device is plugged in and turned on.
If errors continue to occur, you may need to restart your device.
Is there a way I can reset my GPS? I have gone through the GPS menu in system and can't find a system reset... Any ideas?
Edit: Just to add, I can send data (ie. new maps) to the unit w/o any troubles
