    Skins for Bros

I am looking at skins for my 192 Bros 143-114.5- 132. Does anyone have any particular reccomendations? I will be doing mostly uphill climbs up ski areas in AM and night. I am not interested in weight.

Should I go with the 130 Black Diamond Nylon STS maybe the 140 or another brand?

    130 or 140
Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins
Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins offer solid climbing, and they fit any backcountry ski out there. The new, reversible double-bar tip loop fits an incredibly wide variety of tips, and the STS attachment system will securely attach to any tail. No longer will twin-tip and super-fat skis be a problem when you're touring the backcountry. The glue-free strip on the bottom of the Nylon STS makes skin removal easier, especially on fatties where it usually takes as long to get your skins off as it does to tear up the next slope.

I've had ascensions for five years for my 188s and love them.
I don't have a million skin trips on them, but they're always fine.
Tom says the same thing and he has a million skin trips on them.
He says the mohair/nylon mix is nowhere near the quality of the nylon.
    Nylon is more hydrophobic.

We don't make the snow. We just make it more enjoyable.

140 definitely unnecessary, 130 maybe as well. I'd vote for 120 or 130 mm sts ascensions.

My 179 Fat BRO's are darn near the same dimensions and I've had great success with the BD STS 130mm. Can go up the steepest of skin tracks. I've not put very much vertical on this pair but my other pair of ascensions are about three years old and thousands of vertical on them and are still in tip top shape. Use the cheat sheets that they come with and take care to dry them before storing and make sure to not get shit stuck in your glue. If take care of them they will outlast your skis.

Anyone see any reason why not to get these ones in a 130? I think I could swing the Twin Tip setup for the 192s.....

My GF has the CSD skins for her 174 BROs and so far so good... Only a few days on them though, so no comment on durability.
