    measuring volume of ski boot shells altho i kind of wonder how he is gona meaningful data ,I mean where exactly do you measure to?

    BUT,the techy in me loves lou's tech articals

    I'm curious how he will get the foam out without changing or smashing the size?

    Seems like a plastic bag filled with liquid would be a better measure of volume maybe?

    Agreed, or even sand, though it may be harder to get a good fill. That said, if he's successful at getting the foam out intact, he'll have more info on what the volume looks like... Of course, if he's so connected to these boot company's, and they're already publishing last shape info and the like, why doesn't he just ask for the 3D models?
