Trust me on this one. I'll probably get more days at Alta than a lot of locals do.
Sadly, it won't be cheap, but I'll do it.Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me.

Cant-
If you're gonna be top-shelfing bathrooms in SLC for a few weeks this winter, the powder card might be a sweet pickup. No?
If you give my toilet amnesty maybe I'd give you the hookup on the silver pass.

Daily tickets are $47. Multi-day tickets $45 and $42 per day. I believe this is the first time Alta is offering a discount for multi-day tickets.
Powder card may be in order for me.

. $47 is on the high side for Alta- at this pace, they'll be breaking $50 in no time
Just a few years ago it was, what, $35? Guess that's what those high speed quads will do....

Anyone got anymore info on the Silver Card? Does it have a picture on it? I'm guessing not if its transferable. I'd be willing to give a Utards $ for one to be used for traveling storm chasers. The break even is only 5 lift tickets. Work with me people, what dya know?

I'd chip in for that one definately.
Any word yet on passes for solitude? Woodsy?
Wondering if it would make the most sense to stay in one spot and buy a pass...

Beta on the silver card from conversation with Alta ticket office:
Its for Utah residents only, but theres nothing they can do to prevent a Utah resident from buying one, using it to purchase a lift ticket, and then giving the lift ticket to a non-utard. No word on pictures. My friend did not think to ask about a picture.

I'd be down with contributing some $$ toward a silver card!
Please?
Pretty Please?
I'd need it when all you fuckers are in WY, anyway!

As in you must present a Utah DL to buy the card or buy the pass.

Ergo the Utards would need to step up for us "out-of-towners."

So do you have to present a DL when picking up a ticket? How many are we limited to?

Yup, have to produce a drivers license. Limit is one per customer.
edit:
ps, as a soon-to-be utard, i'll step up and say people are welcome to mooch off my silver pass that i'll be picking up when i get out there in month. no need to chip in on the price, just bring me beer from back east. if you're midatlantic, i'll expect yngling (sp?).
edit 2:
i think i misunderstood LCC's question. per my buddy's conversation with some ticket person: to actually purchase the silver pass, you have to present proof of residency. to pick up a lift ticket, its implied that you've already proved your utardation, and you show them the silver pass. No idea though if my friend got everything right. its probably worth exploring more.Last edited by stump832; 07-23-2004 at 03:19 PM.

Might want to ask if a Utard can buy a season pass and a silver pass. I don't know many Utard's who ski Alta and don't have passes. Hate to see a maggot not get their season's by helping out a fellow maggot.

I think this comment is directed at Tippster and myself...
You prefer lager or black and tan?
I'll be driving out, so I can bring CASES.

Thats another good call LCC. I'll buy my season pass first. Then think about the Silver. Buddy just sent me an email, seems to indicate that the people in the ticket office have no idea about whats happening with this pass, its enforcement, etc...
Cant - case of each will work, and a written promise not to top shelf while in casa de stump.

Is that a challenge? I'll play.

Hmm... carrying beer on a plane along w/ a 4yo and a 1.5yo. I'd say out of the question.
I will, however, be glad to supply nice bottles of wine from the SnowBird General Store.
