Thread: Giro G10 Sizing / fit?

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the Giro G10 comes in an XL or just S/M/L? I tried searching and couldn't figure it out. I ask because I wear a ~7 year old Nine.9 in XL (big nogging) and cannot seem to find the G10 in an XL anywhere, bc.com only says S/M/L. I remember reading somewhere that the G10 has some kind of adjustment thing inside it.

Anyone have info? I want to buy the G10 for cheap if it comes up on TD but I'm worried it won't fit my big head. Also, does the G10 fit like the Nine.9? My GF has an XS that doesn't seem to have any kind of fitting inside it.

i went through this last year - as I remember it, the "high end" giro lids only go to L and have an adjustment thing; the G9 goes to XL

in the end, i went with the G9 XL. the size L in the other model (the one with a visor - think it was a G10) was just a little uncomfortable. i probably could have made it OK with a bit of modding but I am not the most "handy" person so i didn't want to risk ruining a brand new helmet

Thanks, almost ordered the G10 large off TD since $50 is soooo cheap but returning it would be a big hassle from Canada. I'll wait until I can try one in person before deciding. The Nine.9 fits perfectly in XL and I don't want something pinching my head.

I have a huge head, and I just bought a G10 MX. Fits quite nicely. Just make sure you open the adjustor thingy correctly. Second large I've ever worn, it was always XL before.

Any idea what the circumference of your head is? I think you measure around your forehead to the back, should be around 60cm if a large fits ya. Fawk, tempted to order it now, maybe I'll just try to sell it locally for cost if it won't fit.

I have G10 MX and I think they measure larger. So if you normally wear XL then go with L. That adjustment wheel makes for sure bigger fitting range.

I have a Giro Nine.9 in a XXL and just bought a G10 MX in a L. Great adjustment on the helmet for fit. Get the L, you won't be disappointed.

IMHO, Giro totally ruined the line cheaping out with the adjuster. They now make fewer sizes. The L is an XL with and adjuster, the M is and L, and the S is still and S (adjusts down to XS?) Nothing fits me as well as my g10 in an M, and it flat out doesn't exist anymore. I hope I don't hit my head too hard.

Thanks for the infoz, going to grab the large, sounds like it will do fine with the adjuster for me. I hope my Prodigy's fit flush without a gaper gap!

All I know about my head is that I need like the second largest size baseball hat made. Tall beanies have no extra tip when I wear them.

Oops, they came up again on TD and someone snagged all the L's. Guessing they will come up again seeing as BC.com has over 1000 in stock. I hope.
