Unexpected Hazard in Vt.
I received this email today from a roadie acquaintence. He's retired, in his 60's, puts in lots of miles. This happened in Rutland on his way to North Shrewsbury by way of Stratton Rd to Cold River Rd.
"F: I was on a ride on Friday early afternoon, just South of the Regional Ambulance Service, traveling South. From behind, a small gray pick-up began to overtake me, when I heard a POP. Within a few seconds I began to comprehend what had occurred. To confirm, I went to the ambulance service, because I had seen a few uniformed EMTs, and asked if they could confirm a pellet gun wound. As one raised my jersey, he first found the pellet in the fabric, and then confirmed that the bleeding wound was that caused by a pellet. My wife who is part-time CSI photographer provides the attachment to this email, which I hope you receive. Take care, and look out! Bill"
After they looked at him he continued for another 25 miles, is okay obviously, but I'm like a little outraged...

that sucks.
I had a similar incident. A school bus was passing me and I suddenly felt something hit my neck. It was a gummy bear. A green one, if memory serves. Unfortunately my wife isn't a CSI photographer, so I don't have any pictures of the damage. It might also have something to do with the fact that there wasn't any damage.
Moral of the story - watch out for school buses. They're full of ne're-do-wells and hooligans.

cool tat. looks just like a quarter.
I'd spend the rest of my free time trying to find the motherfucker, and then find out where he lived. No need for the police to get involved. Probably wouldn't be too hard. He's some fucking shit hick who barely leaves a 10 mile radius, I'll bet.
It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia.

Wow, that's fucked. Are hick Vermonters just nasty to anyone? A few weeks ago I was riding in a buddy's car with VT plates after completing a section of the Long Trail--we were driving up a dirt road back to my truck parked at the trailhead. Some redneck old-man hick was refuelling his dozer on the side of the road, and turns as we drive by and gives us the bird with a evil look on his face. We weren't speeding or anything.

^^^^
You must have been giving off a Massivetwoshits aura from the passenger seat
or you had stickers he didn't like, but I can see this happening...it's kinda funny, but that could make me a dick too
I know there wasn't any school the day of the pellet shooting.. I suggested he get on his bike and cruise the high school parking lot. Maybe he'll recognize the truck.
