    Oh Hello Mags

    Hey everyone,
Long time no see, hope all is well. I decided to try to dabble at taking some pictures yesterday. Couldn't figure out how to get all the settings to work on the camera so I didn't end up with many good ones, not to mention that it was over cast most of the time I was at the park. Anywho I have no idea what I am doing with these newfangled cameras, figured i would stop for some tips with all your infinite wisdom.

    Thanks!

    The bridge looks familiar. Yellowstone?

I agree with nufenstein. Color and clarity are great. Some interesting compositions, too.

I used an Olympus E-500 and a Zuiko 50-200 for most of the shots, the one under the bridge i used a smaller stock lens. I got the camera for my mother about 2 years ago, and it just sits there. So I have started a new campaign to learn how to use it, hoping that she will gain some interest in using it. I definitely did some color corrections to these so the nice saturation comes from that. Everything looked pretty flat with the lack of light.

What I would really like to know are the best ways to boost contrast and saturation with out the use of photoshop.

Edit: These are in a state park in Maryland about as far as you can get from yellowstone, that would be nice tho. I moved back east last year
