that you get your buddies to practice a lot...

the best beacon is the one that YOU can use well.

    tracker will be fine.

Buy one from mntlion and practice with it, otherwise you're essentially telling your buddies "hey, if I'm stuck come find me, but fuck all if I can find you quickly". Assuming you've got a probe and shovel already...

I was playing around with the newest Ortovox last weekend. It seems like a pretty tight beacon. It was INCREDIBLY sensitive to digital devices though....

Just practice LOTS with whatever you get. This should go without saying but make sure you have the appropriate skills to travel in the bc so you don't need to test out the beacon! If you don't get a guide(s).

All beacons currently on the market are good, but the one that works best is the one you know how to use. So buy one now and practice!!!

...and buying one from mntlion is a good thing to do. Support the collective.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I think the tracker is supposed to be the easiest one to use with zero practise ,I heard about a sledder kid east of quesnel who found his buddy with no practice using a new tracker he had just got for x-mas
