McCain's calls
I have been getting a ton of McCain robocalls. My phone number is listed for political contributions in North Carolina, so that is how they got my Seattle number.
This last one was the worst by far. It started off with saying that Obama had been friends with accused felon Rezko for 20 years, and that he refused to come clean about their relationship.
It then went on to say that in only two years since they took control of congress that the democrats had ran our countries economy in to the ground, and that Obama's solution is to raise taxes on everyone and spread the wealth around.
It ended with the standard "this message has been approved by John McCain" or some shit.
Fuck. Dirty fucking rat bastards.

At least those you can hang up on. I have to deal with all the college douchebags stumping for Obama everytime I walk down the streets in this town. All with cute buttons that list their names as Billbama or Joebama. Short of a punch in the face there's no way of avoiding them. They're getting to be as bad as the Greenpeace knuckleheads and Lyndon Larouche cultists.

Weird that's legal at all, really.

The Greenpeace kids in downtown boston get pretty pushy. I'm all for the environment, I just can't stand these 18 year olds who get some raging environmental hard-on after watching An Inconvenient Truth a half dozen times and start spewing Al Gore quotes like gospel.
Might be because I antagonize them by saying stuff like "global warming is great, it's March now and I'm wearing shorts!"

Move to a non-toss up state, especially a blue one. I have not got a single call.

Getting a ton of calls for the WA Governor and 8th district races. Both of which are tight, ugly campaigns.
Had someone at our door offering to install McCain/Palin yard signs "for free" the other night. I offered him a 10 second head start down 300 foot drive before I let the dog* out.
*Golden retriever ony effective in this scenario if it's been heard and not seen.

I got a classic call last night from some really bored sounding younger dude blathering about how Obama's going to take our guns (big deal in Montana). I picked up the phone and he puked out his shpeel, said "paid for by John McCain" and hung up. I didn't even have time to interrupt him or hang up on him.
