    damned extortionists w/no lemonade

The friendly kids thread got me thinking - I wish I just had friendly kids to walk past on my daily commute.

Instead, on my path to work, I walk through 3 blocks of day-laborers, who despite seeing me every day still cling to hopes I'm looking for someone to help me with my yardwork.

When I get past them, I get the homeless-but-trying people on almost every corner selling the homeless newspaper, which I'm sure is fantastic, but I don't have time.

    So the questions are:

    -What the hell?

-What do you say to someone selling something you really don't want, but is doing something better than pure panhandling? Is it "sorry", or is it "no, thanks", since they're technically offering something?

-Do I take a day laborer hostage, then shoot him in hopes of being remembered?

-Is anyone else as shockingly bored as I am right now?

You're so insensitive to the needs of the less fortunate. You and Mr. Gyptian probably get together and hunt the homeless.

Just kidding. I've found pepper spray to be most effective in keeping the undesirables away.

If you look like you're even crazier than the homeless people, they will generally leave you alone.

You understand I was pretty much kidding around and more or less trying to jumpstart the forum on a boring day, right, Optics?

Not that the lemonADE nazis don't bother me, they do a little.

Overall, Jibij had the best perspective, I agree with him.

    Totally.
Me too, but with less success.
