Fall in taxachusetts (1 pic)
Location: Wachusett Reservoir, Old Stone Church, West Boylston, Ma.
Some cool history behind the church. Here is the wikipedia clip: "From 1896 through 1905 West Boylston endured the building of the Wachusett Reservoir and the destruction of its mills and farms. When the Wachusett Reservoir was completed, the church remained standing as the last remnant of the town which was once in the valley, but was now flooded by the new reservoir."

Nice shot.
70-200 2.8 IS? Guessing off the exif.
This would make a nice Obama "Change" background

nice shot. great colors, though it doesn't look quite level.
and that is not a very good b/w conversion.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Nope, just the regular 70-200 f/2.8, non IS.
What do you mean by that? Landscape photography is not really my forte, and I had a lot of trouble trying to render accurate colors from the RAW file. No matter how I worked it in PS or LR, I couldn't get the reds and oranges to pop as nicely as the Jpeg counterpart.
I also toned the church separately from the rest of the image. It was slightly cooler than the rest of the scene. You can probably tell that the colors of the church + reflection don't exactly match.

He means the horizon line isn't level (ie the shot is tilted)

dipstik - spectacular! I love the colors you guys get with all the deciduous trees out East. Kinda almost sort of makes up for the skiing...

To my eye, this is a much better B&W of that, but it still can't match the color version. JMNSHO...Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain...

Beautiful shot!
I agree the colors make the shot. The horizon looks level to my eye.
