Good, cheap, tasty, easy, healthy, foods to eat at home
I would love to hear what other people are making for easy fast healthy tasty food to eat at home. Now that I don't eat out at lunch from the office anymore, I want healthy tasty food to eat in my house, that is cheap and easy. I got several mexican basics down like fajitas and al pastor, but let's hear some new ones! And don't say kraft mac and cheese. Cause I already know how to make that.

I also like bratwurst and sauerkraut
Steak is easy and yummy, but pricey and not so good for my belly.
I was hoping to hear any specialties that people might have that are not run of the mill. I just ate a whole package of Near East parmesan Cous cous. Yum. I need to run to the mexi place also and get more fajitas. 1.69/lb. Yum and and all pre mixed, just add a little hot sauce to 'em and warm up the tortillas.sigless.

Go Veggy, Mang!
WERD!
Similarly, and as you like Couscous, you've got to try Quinoa (keenwa). Looks like Couscous, tastes and smells a bit like potato, cooks in 20 mins (Boil for 5 mins, take off heat and set aside, with lid on, for 15 mins. Fluff & serve.) Unusually high quality protein.

Otherwise, use this cahnce to go Veggy!

Trader Joe's organic frozen pizza. $4. 10 minutes.
Black bean burritto. Add grilled meat in you'l like. $1 for a can for beans. Even if you go all out, you're under $5 for the meal.
Grilled chicken or tuna salad. Make a salad, top with meat.
But here's my staple: Grilled chicken breast, steak or fish. For the veggie take some heavy duty foil. Coat with olive oil. Chop garlic. Throw some broccoli or string beans in the foil. Sprinkle with oil, add garlic, salt and pepper. Seal the foil and throw on the grill. So fucking easy. Only a plate to clean.

Get a wok. Buy chicken thighs on sale, bone them yourself, and have at it. Scallions, soy sauce, broccoli... all sauteed in canola or safflower oil... served over brown rice. You could eat for a week on $20 of staples. Go nuts once in a while on some sesame oil, rice vinegar, black sesame seeds, water chestnuts, etc. Also works great with leftover spaghetti -- just chop it a little, stir it right in, and WALLAH!
Pork chops are cheap. Grill them and they're pretty low fat, especially if you trim them. Buy some Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning, dust both sides of the chops, and grill them for 5 minutes (max) a side. Grill them medium, then let them rest on a cutting board until the juices release. Serve with Ramens - boil in water only, when done drain most of the water and stir in the whole flavor pack.
For a really cheap tasty salad buy some Iceberg lettuce, a bottle of your favorite Bleu Cheese dressing, some bacon, and walnuts. Fry bacon, drain & crumble. Toast up walnuts a little in bacon grease and drain. Cut Iceberg into wedges, pour a generous helping of dressing on the plated wedge, top w/bacon and walnut crumbles. SO. GOOD. $5 for 4 servings... tops.

Grilled Salmon, venison steaks, baked grouse and pheasant.
All lean, no chemicals/preservatives and cheap if you shoot/catch them or mooch off friends who've shot/caught them.
I also like the following vegetables: corn, potatos, carrots, uncooked peas beans and culliflower.
