Specialized Enduro SL frame and fork fo sale
MEEEDEEEEUM size
2007 frame with 2008 suspension. Bought another one in small variety so you won't get any complaints from me about the performance of these things.
Comes with
Specialized speedball seatpost (brand new/never ridden)
2007 AFR rear shock (never ridden)
2008 AFR rear shock (brand new/never ridden)
LX front derailleur
2007 E150 dual crown fork with.......
2008 damper cartridge for fork (brand new/never ridden [I]cartridge[/I)]
Cane creek headset (I think it's an orbit, not sure)
60mm integrated stem. I've got an 80mm too I can throw in if I can find it
25mm front hub to match the fork, I can build you up a wheel for a little more since I still have the front rim that I never rode (just a little $ for the spokes)
Never had any problems with the fork, just had a free offer to try an 08 cartridge. From what I can tell from the other one I just bought, it's smoother than the 07 release with less damping overall (a good thing). Same goes for the rear shocks. I'd probably be riding the 08 rear shock but thought I throw it in to sweeten the deal.
If your current ride needs more mach stoopit geometry or your a dh rider looking for a trail bike, this might be you.
No dents on the frame, a scratch or two that will take you time to even notice. All bearings and pivots snug and smoove.
Geo/suspension info here

1250 + shipping.
Plenty of room for a meaty tire. This is a 2.3 hutchinson

I'm 5'9'' on those days when I feel really tall. I ride a small Demo 7 and really like it. I need a trail bike and the Enduro SL or the Pitch are what I've been drooling over lately. I guess this will be too big for me as well? Can the integrated stem thingie be replaced with something shorter, like 40 mm instead of 70?

and not to steal business or poach this thread (since mine was up first anyway
)
if someone gets skunked and wants one of these, i have a very pretty shiny polished silver frame id possibly be interested to unload with a buyer. slightly different price\package, but we could work something out.

What a ridiculous freaking deal.
there are some minor things I don't like about my 6.6, and damn, I'm kinda glad there are people in front of me with dibs or else I might get stupid

Totally sandbagging this thread: anybody too grande for the Medium looking for an uber-low mileage Large SL Pro hit me up...

This is the shortest stem they make for the fork. I just looked it up, it's actually a 60mm. The medium bikes come with an 80mm. I stuck this shorter one on there just to help me get over the rear of the bike better. The bike isn't 'too big' per se. I've got a buddy of mine who's the exact same height as me (5'7") who kills it on his medium with the stock longer stem. I just prefer a smaller wheelbase for descents. That's literally it. If you're really interested, swing by a specialized dealer and go sit on one. I think you'll find the cockpit actually fits you pretty well.

another data point;
at 5'9 you could go either way, but would be really well suited on a medium
its just preference as woo says
the bike really is a handful to steer it around in the really tight switchbacks (but really, who likes to do this anyway
), but for faster flowy wideropen stuff, the longer wheelbase rocks
im 5'10 on a tall day and love how my medium fits me
edit:
and not to speak for him, but i think brettf is around 5'8-5'9, also had a medium and absolutely slayed on it

1. IG
2. Particle
3. wendigo
4. Shoelaces once he remembers I sold my 6.6 to get this
I lost a sale on my uzzi by making a guy2 who told me he was ready to pay wait for a guy1 who told me he wanted it and backed out. When I got in touch with guy2 he'd already bought another one. I fully respect the dibs system in this group but I just ask that you only mention it if you're serious.
And yes my uzzi is still for sale too

There tends to be quite a bit of that around here...
On the other hand, I've survived doing that on my small Demo7 this year which has a longer wheelbase than the medium Enduro SL...
I actually did swing by the local shop and swung a leg over a medium they had standing there. Based on that very scientific test, it does indeed seem to be a good size for me. Unfortunately they didn't have a size small standing around there for comparison...
Considering the interest here (and the fact that IG should buy it
) I guess woo can't be bothered with international shipping. Pechelman: Are you up for selling your frame, 09 AFR shock, fork (if it's a 2008 or later model) and headset and writing Switzerland on the bike box?

Cool, no worries. My wallet says thank you
Just let me know if you decide in the end to go ahead with it (I might end up buying something else in the meantime if I stumble on another deal for an Enduro SL or a Pitch so don't hold it for me). Thanks to both you and woo for the sizing advice, appreciate it!

Bump
What's the status on this sale? Still haven't upgraded my bike, Woo and I exchanged some e-mails regarding Enduro's back in the middle of the summer and this thread has me drooling. I'm 5'10 with a 32" inseam and really thought I was looking for a LARGE because riding parking lots the medium seemed cramped.... but after reading all the posts here maybe I should be in a medium."Wherever beer is brewed, all is well. Whenever Beer is drunk, life is good" -- Czech proverb.
