Smack, more stupid things done
Well, I made it a few weeks before biting it. As you may recall I have delved into the wonderful world of houst painting:

Today I decided to try and scale a window frame onto an intermediate roof that was about 15 feet off the ground. I figured shingles would make good enough handholds.
Ineveitablly I botched the final moves and began hurtling, inverted, towards the ground. Fortunatlly half way down, my fall was broken by a homemade scaffolding plank, which I cuaght the corner of across my back. After which I careened the remaining distance into a plush 2 inches of ivy over rock hard ground.
It feels like someone hit me in the back with a baseball bat and then took a belt sander to it. I've got a mark the size of montana below my shoulder blades. And I definitlly deserve it.

Something similar happend to a friend. The scaffolding shifted while he was painting and he fell 20 feet onto his back. That was about 10 years ago. He now keeps the 15 lbs or so of hardware that kept his broken back together in a big bag on top of the refridgerator.
Be careful next time, Montana's not such a bad deal, considering some of the alternatives.¡Órale, vato!

True, true. I know a guy that landed on his face. it was 6months of surgeries before he started to look like himself. He shattered his nose, eyesockets and cheek bones. let's not even talk about the teeth.
Believe it or not, you sir were having a good day.

bump because today was again spent in the emerganecy room.
A classic pointy end of paint scraper to webbing of thumb. Sliced right though everything, I could see my finger tendons and ligaments and other horriblness. They sewed her all up though. I sure suck at the whole painting thing.
