Christ almighty the phish from vermont are setting the gorge on fire. Shouldn't have broken my own rule of never missing a gorge show.

edit: Haven't seen for legit ->'s in a row in a long time. Best set of tour, no doubt.

Ten years since one of the best I ever saw.

    7/29/2003 Burgettstown, PA

Set 1: Daniel Saw the Stone > Camel Walk, Gotta Jibboo, Cool It Down, Scent of a Mule[1], Fee[2] -> Timber (Jerry) > When the Circus Comes > McGrupp and the Watchful Hosemasters, Golgi Apparatus

Set 2: Crosseyed and Painless -> Thunderhead, Brother, Harpua[3] > Bittersweet Motel > Harpua > Fooled Around and Fell in Love[4] > Hold Your Head Up > Harpua > David Bowie

    Encore: Farmhouse

[1] Wouldn't It Be Loverly tease.
[2] Maze tease in jam out of Fee.
[3] Narration concerned Jimmy searching for "IT" and, eventually, joining a rock band and finding "IT" on the road.
    [4] Phish debut.

Notes: Daniel was played for the first time since February 23, 1997 (285 shows). Scent of a Mule included a tease of Wouldn’t It Be Loverly (from My Fair Lady). The jam out of Fee included a Maze tease. Harpua was played for the first time since November 2, 1998 (171 shows). The Harpua narration concerned Jimmy searching for “IT” and, eventually, joining a rock band and finding “IT” on the road. The Phish debut of Fooled Around and Fell in Love was preceded by a HYHU tease. In the soundcheck, Seven Below was teased in the Jam and Blue Bayou was quoted in Bittersweet Motel. This show was officially released on CD as Live Phish 07.29.03.

I've done premier the last few times, but am leaning toward WH and a VIP parking pass....just got to have someone reasonable make the drive post show.

Although sometimes it's nice to be near the circus and the late night sideshow, but I'm getting older now so it's starting to lose a bit of the appeal when fireworks are being shot off at 3 in the morn.

People in the terraces say that's the way to go, quieter and a shorter walk to the venue.

What is up with the bottle necks on the walk back?? Were they not able to permit anything larger than that path through the wetland area?

Stellar shows...they need to make the Gorge an annual thing..

Wildhorse has three buses...no need to drive.

VIP parking is pretty nice though. If you want a terraced spot, it's the way to go. They have a separate entrance so you just arrive at 5:30...no waiting in line.

We bought VIP parking in Maine, had to drive past the venue and cheaper parking to wait in traffic and get to a full VIP lot where we waited in the car for 10 minutes until some supervisor approved some remote lot. Sweet.

Straight FIRE! Little bit of everything in there - evil oxy jam, ambient space, bliss jam, crowd interaction. Ridiculous. It even makes up for dropping a second set Architect Bouncin combo
