Touching the Void
Sorry if this is a rerun - I thought there might have been a thread on it but couldn't find it.
This movie truly tripped me out. Gave me nightmares. If you like adventure/survival stories - check it out.
Two climbers do a first ascent of a 21000 peak in the Andes and things go quite wrong. The re-enactment of it is eery (and maybe slightly cheesy), but truly intense.
crazy story.“Within this furnace of fear, my passion for life burns fiercely. I have consumed all evil. I have overcome my doubt. I am the fire.”

here's a website where you can check out a video called "The Making of Touching the Void". That alone is worth watching - amazing what they did to make this movie.

Read the book, This Game of Ghosts, by the same author. Awesome story teller."All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring. We must never, ever be boring."

Saw it a few days ago and it does give you that sick feeling in your stomache. It's a must see if you are in the B/C a lot.

Read the book, saw the movie. They are both really good.
The book held more suspense and horror.
The movie was good because it painted a better picture of the actual location and mountain.
