Mammut Jacket Fit
Can anyone help me out with the general tendency for fit for Mammut?
I'm 5'11, 210lbs, wide shoulders. Take an L in most things, but occasionally jump up or down a size. From what I've read so far it sounds like I might wanna go up a size for Mammut...can anyone confirm?

General tendency for fit = f'in weird.
It's slim, i'm 6'0 170 and need a large, I've tried on about 4-5 different cuts and the medium's always too tight across the chest...but the arms on every single one of them are made for tarzan. In my opinion, every Mammut shell i've tried on has arms that are about 2-3" too long, which sucks cause they rock otherwise - great style, great construction/attention to detail, etc.
So yeah, go up a size, but watch out unless you have ape-arms.If you are driving to Jay Peak this evening, please drive carefully you bad ass. -- Jay's website

With Mammut it really depends on the model. Some of their more alpine style shells have short, tight bodies and long baggie arms. Their more standard shells have more of a traditional European fit.

I agree. I am 235 with wide shoulders. Their fit is long, trim, and athletic, as though every piece they sell is for Dean Potter. I have a softshell I use for climbing - the workmanship is solid but you need to be a certain body type. I wear an XL and it's about right in the core and about 2 inches long in the sleeves.

I'm 5'11 and 185 with wide shoulders and long monkey arms. I bought the Mammut Extreme Hybrid Jacket in XL. Body, shoulders fit great. Torso length is perfect. Arms are almost too long. I've never owned a coat that fit this long in the arms before. Not sure if i'm going to send it back to SAC or not yet.

Thanks for the info, basically confirms what I'd thought. You can even see on their pics on SAC attack how long the arms hang down.
