Beta needed on XXXX 198 Rossi Bandits

i bought these monsters off a buddy yesterday. they are marked as a rossi bandit XXX running 128/103/118 at 198. they also have an upturned tail. he told me they were a limited release XXXX and were never available for sale to the public. i search functioned the XXXX and didn't come up with much other than the quad X was a limited release team ski.

if anyone has any more info on the heritage of this particular stick i'd love to hear it.

    Ask the Professor.
I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.

    they're pretty damn stiff...

so i'm assuming race room = different construction than regular bandits?

Actually the quads I had werent all that stiff, at least compared to production Squads in the longer lengths. But there are tons of versions of the XXXXs, but nice find either way. But just remember these are not likely to be too much fun in the trees

I came across a pair of these at the ski swap in Bozeman many moons ago for cheap,$150 with 900Equipe. A buddy of mine showed them to a Rossi rep. who stated they were the xxxx race room skis and I scored. Skied them for a month at BS before the sharks ate them. SUPER fun ski. They just loved the wide open spaces of Lone Peak, not so much in the trees. To me, 5'10" 175lb at the time, they were stiff. Carved extremely well on the groomed and held an edge on the ice. Floated ok for such a stiff ski, considering BS gets the blower. Wax them fuckers up at point the shit out of 'em, you'll flinch before they will.
