    Masterfit University bc alumni?

Has anyone here taken the bootfitting training at Masterfit University? In particular, I'm looking at the backcountry connection session.

I've never had any formal bootfitting training, but I've learned some basics from other shop employees, on the street, etc. and I'm comfortable with the basics of fitting tele/AT boots, cooking liners, basic footbed applications, etc. What I can't figure out from the website is if I have a sufficient background for the 'backcountry connection' session. The course write-up refers to the Masters Course.

So, after running you around the tree a couple of times, my question is: has anyone taken the training and have any comments on it?

I have taken the courses over the year, was a nice reminder, but not that great. (we also had travel expenses) if you are intown maybe.
I also would that it was part PK on the products they sell, and part general training.

for first time staff I think it would be great, also a nice reminder/ refersher, but I won't go for a few more years I think.

also seems like they are talking to a wide variety of students
For experienced boot techs, Certified Pedorthists and Certified Athletic Trainers.
all need VERY different info to help them

I took a 2 day Masterfit Univ training in my ski shop days. It was definitely great training. We learned the basics as well as how to properly grind, stretch and modify boots, how to fix most boot problems, proper heat molding, etc. We also learned how to make custom foot beds. It was a great base to begin as a boot fitter but you really need to take old boots and practice on them as well as fit as many people as possible to practice to master the skills you learn.

Yow, I almost forgot to say thanks for the info guys.

My boss is picking up the tab on this, so it sounds like it won't be a waste. Gracias.
