That's pretty much a spot on assessment

Torre Cillas might be the most memorable experience I had. We battled fierce winds and a helluva climb to there. What's memorable isn't the line I skied or the pow, though both awesome, it was seeing the stoke on everyone's face afterwards. At that moment, I knew we were all in a better place.
Totally agree on all points! It's like my brain is talking or something, lol.

    Hmmn, something looks familiar (2005)

My line of choice is far skiers left. My last ride down consisted of being knocked down and taken for a ride by my own slough. It was total whiteout for a few seconds and I knew the walls of the chute were close on either side. Luckily, I was able to self arrest and move out of the way of the tumbling snow. I was pissed at myself for getting too greedy and not being careful, a mistake that can result in serious consequences in the Andes.
glad you got out of it alright. I knew a guy who got taken for a ride down that chute a few years back- luckily got away with only a broken arm. That line definitely has a "temper"

Sick TR, well written - and killer photos. You definitely succeeded at making me jealous of not making it down this year. Hey F11 - next year?

Here are some other pics from the office. What's really impressive, Swedish Tim loaned out his touring set up this day but didn't want to sit around while the rest of us got after it so he boot packed all the way up to the top while we skinned. It took him forever but he surely got the best line of all of us.

    A few more

    Tim on our way somewhere

We skied manhatten chute after a huge storm but the next day was bluebird all day and we waited to the end of the day to rock it. We were stoked to put first tracks in but it turned out to be super baked after a full day of sun. Nevertheless, it was still a pretty rad run.

The one section I did not get to ride while I was there. Next time...

Man, skiing is the easy part.

This isn´t the best pic of the TR, but there´s just something about that bouncy turn that makes me want to go skiing so badly.
