Thread: A revelation

Lately,as work begins to suck more than I ever thought possible and my cube becomes a vortex of suck that even light can't escape...where time and space actually bend around my cube and I sit on the event horizon forever waiting to make a stiff drink when I get out of here....I decided to post a revelation I've had recently.

When asked to work a holiday or super extra overtime, I have come to realize something I'd like to share with y'all....there are 15 billion million finfillion ways to make money. The world is brimming over with ways to get that loot in your pocket. Be it returning cans, creating art, washing cars, repairing pc's, slutting yourself out as a corporate whore to "the man" whatever....you can always make money but you will NEVER be able to get time back. Perhaps I've been listening to too much Dark Side of the Moon or something....but I've come to realize that money is not the end all and be all, TIME is.

My point being: take the days off, hang out with your friends and family...do something you enjoy because there will ALWAYS be a way to make money, but you'll never have the time back. All that extra money does is buy another cd or jacket or some other thing you don't need. If there is an opportunity to take time off and enjoy your life, do it. Don't be happy with money, be happy with time.

I dunno, that's all. I'm out for the weekend and don't have to work again until Tuesday cuz I'm fuckin sick like that. Have a good holiday everybody, Happy 4th of July and ENJOY YOUR TIME OFF!!! DON'T BE A SLAVE TO MONEY!!!!
