Interesting similarity in world wide polls

    The world supports Obama...
    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2...?section=world

The world also doesn't belive al Qaeda attacked us on 9/11
    http://www.newsmeat.com/news/meat.ph...tcom&buid=3281
(take a look at WorldPublicOpinion.org for the survey)

Obviously the same people were not questioned, but as polls go, one has to question what these people are thinking for something so certain as the attackers on 9/11 being al qaeda islamic terrorists?

Isn't that as stupid as saying the holocaust did not occur and more study should be done on it? And this "world consensus" says elect Obama?

I'm not clear on what you are saying here. If a majority of people agree strawberry is the tastiest flavour does that means they're wrong or stupid....is that what you're saying?

Chinese proverb: A monk from afar does all things better.
Christian proverb: Even a prophet has no respect in his own country.

Native Americans waged war, enslaved each other and hunted species into extinction long before Columbus set foot in North America, yet the myth of the Noble Savage sprang up around them.

There seems to be a mindset among a lot of people that people from other cultures have some kind of special wisdom that they don't.

    What's up with that?

I just love the way you spell flavour.

No. What I'm saying is that if the majority of people think a strawberry is not a fruit, then they are both wrong and stupid.

And yes there are dummies everywhere

That's a cute false dilemma (a vote for Obama is a vote for 9/11 conspiracy theorists), but all that poll proves is that the Bush administration is deeply distrusted and that there are a lot of nutjobs around the world who love a good conspiracy theory.

Hell, a large percentage of Americans don't think Al Qaeda was responsible for 9/11:

A Scripps-Howard poll of 1,010 adults last month found that 36% of Americans consider it "very likely" or "somewhat likely" that government officials either allowed the attacks to be carried out or carried out the attacks themselves. Thirty-six percent adds up to a lot of people. This is not a fringe phenomenon. It is a mainstream political reality.

The article is from 2006 (most recent poll I could find quickly), but I doubt the numbers have changed much.
