Set aside the misleading statistics, McCain has turned his back on conservatives a number of times. McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy and heading the gang of 12 to block conservative judge nominees.

Can you name one time when Obama bucked the Demodrats, just one.

Fairness would require that the left acknowledge that McCain's history is not one of blindly following Bush. However, generally, honesty and fairness is not in the liberal character.

Obama followed him 48% of the time and Biden over 50% of the time. I guess they are republicans.

McCain didn't until recently. But his economic proposals and binding to the religious right do nothing for some old school republicans or those who think in terms of principles, not people, and not the usual, tired and meaningless pejoratives.

Personally, I would like the national debt reduced. The government shouldn't be spending money it doesn't have. McCains platform supports continug to spend money t doesn't have and balancing the tax base on the middlle class. Obamas at least integrates a plan to partially pay back the debt.

I understand that you don't like McCain's policies. That is fine. However, the concept that Obama reaches across the aisle and promotes real change from the Democratic ideas is false.
