Where were you when McCain selected Palin . . .

Just curious. I was on the golf course and one of my foursome received a text message . . . quite a mixed political leaning foursome too. We all agreed then, that his selection "would be interesting" to follow
So, where were you . . .Oh, and go ahead and 'jong' away - been there - just need a re-new ...

I think I found out on Palin via TGR? I'm pretty sure it was a post in one of the VP threads that was brief and ended with a question mark like it wasn't firm yet.
On learning of Obamas pick of Biden... I had been out parting hard down on Water Street, and my phone had died. Shortly after I plugged it in on the way home in the car, my text update came thru... was like 2:40 AM the morning it was leaked/texted.If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?
