    Fischer Vision Vapor Sizing?

My wife is looking at adding a pair of `08 Fischer Vision Vapors to the quiver. She is looking for something quicker edge to edge then her 163 Auras, but still works in a little crud and has good edge hold.

Would the 160 or 165 Vapors be a closer match to the 163 Auras?

How does Fischer’s ski lengths compare to Volkl’s?

(Auras were her everyday skis last year and will still be used for powder and spring conditions.)

How tall is she??? What Does she weigh?? I'd be guessing that she would be much happier on the 160's.

    thanks.

She 5'2" and 120#. Skis double diamonds at Squaw and Alpine. This will be her has not snowed in a 3 or more days ski. So a mix of hard snow, bumps, still soft snow in the trees and little crud.

The Vapor is basically the women's AMC76, right?

I ski the AMC79 in a 176 as my ski for similar conditions. I erred on the short side for sled handling, but they don't feel too short, and they have fantastic edge hold.

    I'd probably go 160cm.

Here's the thing, though: dead set on the Fischers? I think she might love the Dynastar Exclusive Legend even more.

    Why?

She wants something lively. So, Fischer seems like a good call.

Alpinedad brings up a very good comparable ski. The Exclusive Legend is a very fun/lively ski but is more oriented to off trail skiing then the Vapor. That being said Vapor will feel more damp and stable when she is on groomers, and is the same basic shape as the Cool Heat but with Fischers womens specific core. I personally like both of these skis and think that she is going to be stoked on either one that you would choose.

On a side note if you are thinking about the Exclusive I would recommend getting it in the longer size being that it is not a very stiff ski in comparison to the Aura.
