Good websites for altitude/3rd world medical recommendations
Not going anywhere exciting, just trying to pass my exams so I can get paid to go to exciting places.
If you know of any good websites that have info on altitude related problems, 3rd world travel recommendations for vaccinations, kit to carry, evacuation (particularly for India but also in general)..
or if you are a fountain of knowledge and wouldn't mind sharing by PM
Thanks'I dare to dream and differ from the hollow lies'

For HAPE, these should get you started:
http://www.altitude.org/tutorials.htm
http://www.climbing-high.com/high-al...ary-edema.html
Also, check out scholar.google.com and www.pubmed.gov I'm sure some of the articles are free for download (at least that is the case with chemical stuff).
Plus buggin' the globetrotters might be worth the effort. At least a few peeps have travelled to India and other exotic places, so they should at least have some clue on what vaccinations etc. to have (so bug Tri-U and Hugh Conway among others).Originally Posted by RootSkier
