So, Friday's are my new training day........get up at 5am, leave the house, meet friends 15 miles South at Geiger Grade, climb a bit over 2000, then ride on to work. It ism't a straight commute, but the below all happened before 8 am (35 miles and 2k climbing).

    Views of Mt Rose

    Our climb up ahead.

As you will see....there really ARE!

You could take Sierra to Plumas, cut over on Ridgeview to Lakeside, over windy hill, and have a nicer ride down south -- instead of riding Virginia through downtown.

But damn, that's a long ride first thing in the morning... nice work.

That is closer to how I commute everyday.....I rode Virginia because I had camera and wanted to make a TR (needed the Reno sigh to really top it off).

Average commute is through Caughlin Ranch to top of McCarren, then wind down to Lakeside and either down McCarren or into the S. ranch country.

Kidwoo.....didnt see the downhill, is it easy to find there. I would be into that too (but I would probably ride up....shuttling is a waist of an opportunity ).

Makes sense. I commute from So. Virginia up Holcombe Ranch, to Lakeside, north over windy hill, cut over to Plumas, then Plumas to downtown. And reverse on the way home.

But I wuss out and ride it on a scooter... (no showers at work, building security doesn't like bicycles...)
