    Clusterfuckle in McBoulderama

Y'all heard or talked about the Jefferson County park rangers operating a "sting" on the new "right of way/yield" rules in JeffCo parks?

It's pretty fucking dim-witted on JeffCo's part. A friend is getting ready to contest the ticket she was issued as a result of the sting. She's marshaled some good arguments and evidence to try to turn JeffCo's idea upside-down.

Boulder area Maggots should check in here: thread on f88me and try to reach TVC15, she's working on it.

    Hey Crud,

I hear JeffCo is ticketing bikers now for having their stem cap match the color of their I9 wheels.

    CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??!!!

My money was on the MT Wilderness chick thread, with this a close second.

Don't ask me. TVC15 talked to me about it with reference to the Boulder area's trails. Is it not close to Boulder? Is it not an area where Boulder people ride?

All I know about Boulder is what rontele tells me about it.

I had other reasons too -- I had to come in to talk to you about Maxxis Minion vs Kenda Nevegal. I finally encountered the issues you were talking about with the Nevegal, but it wasn't until I swapped tires from a Nevegal to a Maxxis Ardent. After a few rides I was thinking, "that bastard Kidwoo was RIGHT, dammit!"

Has the snow melted from your trails yet?

    Crud,

All I know about Boulder is that everyone there has a Range Rover than runs on vegetable oil, after drinking their fair trade coffee and blogging about the injustices in Tibet, they pile their $7,000 Mavericks in to the Range Rover and drive to the trails only to photograph their bikes for a future post on MTBR.

Holy fook. It's worse than I'd imagined! Quick, let's carpet-bomb the place!

    Well duh.

Yeah we've been clear of snow for a while. Got some new things built this year that are pretty damn good.

Is boulder in Jefferson County? Most of the talk here was like apex area. That would be nuts if rangers started sweeping every front range trail from lakewood to boulder.

    Marin county here we come.

Rontele, you really couldn't be more wrong...

Everybody knows they pile their bikes on their Range Rover, not in it...right next to the kayak and skis. Boulder is where I learned that it is indeed possible to put a Thule rack on a 911 turbo.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Have you posted video footage of them here yet? The ones last year were sweet, I'd dig seeing more.

    Not yet.
Hopefully I'll have one done in the next few days.

All the current issues are related to Jefferson County Open Space lands. Boulder is in the aptly named Boulder County, just north. Boulder City Open Space doesn't allow biking on anything interesting, so they really don't have these kinds of issues. Boulder County Open Space offers limited interesting riding but hasn't (yet) started the uber-control-freak ways of JeffCO. BTW, city and county open space programs combined in Boulder County own about 1/3 of the total land area.

The interesting aside is that the city of Boulder owns significant lands in Jefferson County. They bought those lands to block a huge planned retail/office complex that would potentially take away sales tax revenue, the source of funds for most municipal governments in Colorado.

I know this and I live in Montana, the real Montana and not that liberal hibby sappy People's Republic of Missoula.

No, Boulder isn't in JeffCo. Boulder is the place down the road that is building this within city limits: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...d.php?t=128748

Hah. You mean the Robber Baron's Fiefdom of Bozeman, where condescending rich assholes rub elbows with the last native Montanan -- who, incidentally, is left panhandling in front of the Gucci store because there's no place left for him to live, work, or eat in his home town?

Yeah, but clearly that pretentious fucktard "cowdog" didn't. His polite veiled put-down of me is typical of the types of people who live in Bozeman -- believing themselves superior and above "personal invective" -- but having no compunction about issuing the sort of condescension used by "Christians" and other moralist dipshits.

You dipshits don't know the real Montana, It's called West Dakota, the last best place natives can afford land out there.

It's hard to ride the bike with that 911 piggybacked on top of it.

Then you have to add a Porsche 914 (the glorified Beetle). Double the pleasure!
