Ash and I just watched all of season 1 on DVD. In two nights. Pretty good but I must admit that its really only a well done soap opera.

I think it may be my favorite new show. They just did a marathon last Sunday of last season and the new one starts this coming Sunday.

i tivod that but ran out of space. DId they show the entire last seaon during the marathon?

I love how they smoke and drink at work, and totally sexual harras the women at work. I think it is so funny especially when you consider today's work envirement.

Yeah, they showed the entire season, which was nice since I had missed the last few episodes last season. Their workplace antics are pretty entertaining. I don't think they can get through a scene without at least 3 guys sucking down cigarettes and one person talking down to a woman. My wifes grandfather is generally more sensitive to women and never cheated on her grandmother but the similarities between his attitude and stories about that time and the show are uncanny.

The set design and wardrobe is amazing. I also get a kick out of the little things, like kids jumping about in cars without seatbelts, pregnant women smoking and drinking, drinking in the morning or afternoon at the workplace...ahhh, life before petty lawsuits and the PC movement took hold.

Looking forward to even more character development this next season. Betty's either going to crack or she'll dump Draper and get on the hippy movement. (2nd Series is supposed to jump a few years).

Surprised at all the Emmy nods- 16??

Set is freakin awesome from TV's to clips, cars (man I love the cars) hairstyles the whole bit the do it very well.

I think my boss was born in the wrong decade, smokes as often as possible and drinks just as much when outside of work, think he missed his calling.

Good writing nice turns, deep characters. The way the "Husband" was such a string puller is so weird asking her psychologist what she said etc, and then freaking out letting in the AC salesman while he lays more pipe than Rooster McConaughey?

The episode when they watched the election was a the employee handout of what never to do in the workplace nowadays. Had to dig the Creme De Menth and Rum watercooler though.

Can't figure out Betty's nueropathy with her hands? Maybe she'll go postal.....

If it did, I really think I might have missed a great calling. So twisted so fun to watch.

New one should be good curious to see what the snot-nosed kid is going to do, and I think the single mother down the street is going to develop into more of a main character.
