Sadly, sometimes great music slips through my cracks (that's what happens when you shill your words for a living and only certain labels service you with tunes to review)...such is the case with Dig!!!LazarusDig!!! by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

OMFG!

This album rules.

One of the best of 2008 without any doubt.

I'm on the second listen of the final track "More News From Nowhere" which is an obviously Lou Reed ("Wild Side" period) tribute, though not exactly. It's got poppy basslines, sing-a-long harmonies, and Cave's dusted, dry wit. Sublime.

The rest of the album is stellar, to boot (reminds me a lot of Carl Hancock Rux' Good Bread Alley...another awesome album y'all should peep).

i've been listening to this since it came out and was wondering why you hadn't said anything about it. great album glad you finally found it.

to embed, you need to use 'UBB Code' not HTML, the ubb tags for youtube look like [ youtube ] 8MajmI5j7Bs [ /youtube ] (remove the extra spaces)
