TR: Southern NH, North Shore MA Riding

A meeting with a lurking TGR Maggot in Exeter Cycle lead to a map and great trail recomendations for Fort Rock in Exeter. 90 + degrees, three hours, one flat tire and one broken spoke later, all I wanted was more. Seems like there is about 20 miles or more of single track hidden around both sides of the area. The green trail is simply fantastic. The riding was a lot better than these pictures. Can't really get the hang of riding with the camera readily available for good shots. If you are in the area, check it out. Good to experience some new riding in the southern part of the state.

    Into the woods we go.

Yes, I know I was wearing spandex while Mt. Biking. If that makes me soy, I'm ok with it.

How's the humidity out that way these days? I never did much mtb riding in that part of the state. This morning the woods out here felt like some sort of tropical jungle....

You know, I've been switching back and forth and the only real difference for me is that spandex catches on the seat less and is cooler in the summer heat. To each their own.

Fort rock is pretty humid, as it's next to a swamp. Most places are fairly damp in southern NH due to the land types (similar to MA I imagine)

I ride Ft. Rock regularly. Fantastic rides in there. Rock gardens are aplenty.
