    Knolly Endorphin Sizing

Looking at a '14 26" Endorphin in either a Medium or a Large.

5'10 32" inseam on my jeans, but I have the wingspan of someone ~6'1 (ape arms).

Height wise I should be on a medium according to Knolly - but based on stack and reach of my Pitch I should be on a Large.

I'm coming off a medium pitch with a 50mm stem 711mm bar that fits me awesome.

I mostly like to ride tech single track that is a lot of grinding, roots, rocks, drops, and some flow in between, but not a lot of sustained up or down.

Do I size up to a large endorphin and run a short stem (35-50mm), or go with the medium and run maybe a 70mm stem? Am I cheating myself out of a better ride or messing with the balance of the bike by sizing up?

go large. I'm 5'11 and just came off a large '13 26" endo. I went to a slightly longer bike and am really liking the extra reach. I was running it with a 50mm stem.

Thanks this helps. I was actually combing through some of your old threads on this. Good stuff.

I think you definitely want a large. I'm pretty sure the Knolly's run smaller compared to Specialized. I'm an average 6' on the large '14 Endo, 150mm fork and with a 50 stem it feels pretty dialed, even slightly cramped at times. The Endo will be much more slacked out than your Pitch, but it's still very snappy and your only gaining 9mm of wheelbase. In my opinion, especially with this bike, it will be much better to size up and go down to a 35mm stem or make other small adjustments to the cockpit if you need to, but honestly you are probably perfect with a 50mm stem. I think you're gonna be VERY fired up on the bike coming over from a Pitch.

I'm the exact same size as the OP, including large ape index.
I went with a large Knolly vs a medium Knolly exactly one year ago and have been 100% satisfied with my decision ever sense. Running a 35mm Kore Repute stem. Fits like a lambskin condom.

I was slightly on the fence about my decision until this. Way to sell it.

Reach and stack r good indicators. Large chilli w 35mm stem and 750mm bar should fit like your pitch (40 additionals mills on yor bar adds roughly 20mm of reach)
Also, I see sac has large chilli frames on sale now

Agree. I'm significantly smaller than you and medium fits me great. My Endo is in Pittsburgh right now or I'd let you test ride it.

Thanks for the advice. The large fits me great with a 50mm. Who said 26 was dead?
