Alaska Summer Snow?
Hello!
Going to Alaska in July.
Im from Philadelphia and we have no snow.
Im looking to get a quick fix of some turns while im up there.
I dont have alot of time to spend hiking, just a day.
(Someone else is paying for the trip, so im on their schedule)
Ill be in Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Anchorage, Denali, and Prudoe Bay.
If anyone has ever been or has any info on how to access some easy snow, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

I'd say Juneau or Alyeska (short drive from Anchorage) are your best bets. I'll be in Juneau in about 12 days, I'll tell you if I see snow.

You'll pretty much be SOL by July unless you REALLY want to do some serious hiking for some not so serious snow.

Do you mind falling in crevasses? Whittier Glacier is about 2 miles from the town, Ptarmigan peak had snow on it last year in July, I'm gonna bike to it this year and hopefully get a nice kicker session going... PM me if you want in
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care

AKPM, does babs still have her Burger shop in Whittier?
What I would do for a babs burger with a green chili on it right now.
